Conference League

The Conference League is a European club football tournament, officially known as the UEFA Europa Conference League. It was introduced by UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations) in the 2021-2022 season as the third tier of European club competitions, below the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The competition aims to give more clubs from different countries, particularly those from smaller leagues, the opportunity to participate in European football.

Teams qualify for the Conference League based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. The tournament features a group stage followed by knockout rounds, culminating in a final match to determine the champion. The winner of the Conference League is granted a place in the following season’s Europa League, providing further incentive for clubs to compete. The league emphasizes inclusivity and recognition for clubs outside the traditional powerhouses of European football.
